Course Description

In Unit 1, Understanding Behaviour and Supporting Self-Regulation, trainees will explore behaviour as communication; stress response systems; adult emotional modelling; predictable routines as stabilisers; trauma-informed perspectives and protective relationships that foster participation.

By the end of this unit, trainees will be able to:

  • Apply coregulation strategies and emotionally responsive practice.
